It provides cardholders the benefit of replacing cash stolen during an ATM robbery in addition to other benefits such as personal accident coverage, hospital cash benefit, document replacement, theft identity restoration, trauma and emergency assistance and 24/7 customer hotlines for incident reports or claims.

The depositor is covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Philippines and international locations where the TRBI ATM Debit card is accepted.

Q: What is ATMSafe?

A: ATMSafe is an innovative value added feature to our ATM cards. It provides cardholders the benefit of replacing cash stolen during an ATM robbery in addition to other benefits such as personal accident coverage, hospital cash benefit, document replacement, theft identity restoration, trauma and emergency assistance and 24/7 customer hotlines for incident reports or claims.



Q: What is the span of coverage of ATMSafe?

A: The depositor is covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Philippines and international locations where the TRBI card is accepted.



Q: Is there an age limit to the persons covered under ATMSafe?

A: There is no maximum age limit but there is a minimum age limit based on existing laws and regulations (the minimum age allowed to open an account is 13 years old).



Q: How do I enrol in ATMSafe?

A: ATM cardholders can formalize their intention to enrol by filing-up the ATMSafe Enrolment Form. For joint accounts, client will use one enrolment form. Joint accountholders must indicate both their account information on the form.



Q: Can I dis-enrol from ATMSafe?

A: Clients may dis-enrol their ATMSafe coverage through any of the following means:

  1. Fill-out the Request to Decline Form and submit to maintaining branch.
  2. Fax the Request to Decline Form to maintaining branch.

Q: What is covered in ATMSafe?

A: In the event of a covered loss (robbery or loss of cash), the amount you actually withdrew from your account or card during the time of robbery (technically within 10 minutes* from withdrawal) will be covered subject to the following maximum limitations: P50,000.00 or the daily withdrawal limit for the card whichever is less. Amount of benefit is adjusted as follows: 100% 1st Incident, 50% 2nd Incident and 25% 3rd Incident only.
a. Robbery is defined as the criminal assault of the cardholder, forced withdrawal, kidnapping with the intent of forcing the cardholder to conduct a transaction, “card trapping” and other mechanical non-violent schemes involving the ATM.
b. Robberies of insured cardholder(s) or authorized users, while conducting an ATM transaction which results to the loss of cash, personal and immediate injury, fraud or identity theft.
*Loss incidents that take place more than ten minutes after the ATM transaction may be filed and evaluated, depending on the validity of the case or claim.

Q: When my cash gets stolen during an ATM withdrawal, what must I do?

A: After a robbery or an ATM incident, the client should do the following:

Q: What information/documentation do you require upon filing claim?

A: The following information and documents will be required when you report a robbery or loss:

  1. Accountholder/Cardholder’s name
  2. Accountholder/Cardholder’s card number
  3. Time and place of robbery/assault
  4. Amount
  5. Police report and/or Affidavit
  6. ATM transaction slip
  7. Other documents that may be required by ATMSafe
  8. ATMSafe shall solely be responsible for the evaluation and processing of claims filed. A copy of the ATMSafe incident report shall be furnished to BOG and ATM Center for their reference.



Q: How long does it take to process my claim?

A: Valid claims will be processed by ATMSafe Claims Center and once a decision is made that the claim is valid, a cheque will be prepared and ATMSafe shall contact the claimant for details of claiming.



Q: How much of the money stolen will be given back to me?

A: In the event of a covered loss (robbery or loss of cash), the amount stolen from your account during the time of the robbery will be covered, subject to the following maximum limitations: P50,000.00 or the daily withdrawal limit for the card whichever is less. Amount of benefits are adjusted as follows: 100% 1st incident, 50% 2nd incident and 25% 3rd incident.



Q: How much am I charged for this service?

A: The monthly fee for this service is P12.00 debited/collected at every end of the month. For one-time annual fee, the cost P144.00.



Q: Can I go to TRBI branch to avail of this service?

A: Yes. Simply fill-out an ATMSafe Enrolment Form at your TRBI maintaining branch.
